The Sigmatech brushes kit by Sigma: my view

sigma set1ok
When I test the products before presenting them to you, I think about a lot of points during this period of "probation" of the product in question. The price / quality ratio, the originality of the packaging, its sensorial texture (etc ...) and I can well obviously not help thinking to similar products in other brands. The goal is to present a specific view, detailed and sometimes make comparisons to help direct you to the right products. As I have already said in some of my videos but when I started to build me a collection of makeup, I first directed at MAC. If it again, I do not think I will adopt the same strategy, particularly in terms of brushes. What for ? Because those brand cost an arm and I'm not saying they are zero but I can assure you that we can easily find the prices much more interesting and yet more gentle and easy to use. One thing is certain: today, I never buy brushes with this sign. My Blending Brush has not aged, I find it stings a little eyelid and is not the most pleasant to the touch and yet it is the most "expensive" from my collection of estompeurs. Twist of fate. My favorite brands of brushes to date are Zoeva (of course, you've heard me extol their merits many times), but also Real Techniques. When my addiction for makeup began to point the tip of his nose a few years ago, I could not resist the call of temptation: Sigma. It must be said that at that time the word was on the lips of all youtubeuses and I have taken the plunge. I do not regret because the range of "Kabuki" is particularly crazy but a little, I do not find that their quality / price ratio is part of the best. Instead, the shipping costs can quickly become prohibitive. I ordered a couple of times and I moved on. There are some months, the brand sent me his new Sigmatech brushes kit and today I want to share my impressions with you.
The good news is that today, if you want to direct you to this brand, know that it is sold on the French e-shop The Beautyst: farewell shipping costs who murder. The bad news is that the kit that I present today is not sold and is only offered on the official website at the moment. We have solved part of the problem at the moment!

When I went to the official website and I saw that it was Kit 8 brushes sold $ 122 (+ shipping costs of course) I almost had a stroke. Is it necessary to recall that an equivalent kit from Zoeva costs 65 €? No, I do not think it would stir the knife in the wound. Because here we speak still a sacred difference.
I obviously asked what these brushes were so special to be offered at this price. The mark indicates the description of this kit that contains a selection of "high performance" brushes made of synthetic fibers that are thought to be more effective than traditional animal hair. The point of these hairs was therefore developed for applying creamy textures or powders without ever absorbed in the hair. In addition, these fibers "Sigmatech" are antibacterial, hypoallergenic and brand emphasizes that the brushes maintain their shape and their original color even after many washings. Finally, each round brush is light and durable wood that has received 9 coats of paint to make them resistant (including scratches).
It went to take a look at all proposed brushes. We start with my favorite and the one I am probably the most used because it surprised me: the F25 Tapered Face
6 sigma brush
Why is he surprised me?
As you know I wear every day foundation and until now, when I applied the powder on my face to fix my makeup, I felt that my hair powder brush retained a bit of foundation and lost their flexibility after multiple uses. Moral: I had to wash them regularly. While on paper, I could not believe it too, I was really surprised to see that indeed, this brush does not absorb matter and its hairs are a flexibility and softness crazy over uses. Its shape is convenient and allows mega powder around the eyes, nose in an instant. I admit that this is my weak point of the kit because its quality is excellent and it's probably one of the best brushes powder I've tested to date. Except that as I was explaining, the kit is not cheap and sold individually it still costs $ 33. Everything depends on your budget for this "investment".
Now to F64: Soft Blend Concealer
sigma brush 71
Then thereof, it has been somewhat "muuuuuais ..." of the kit. I have not been carried: either way, once you get used to the Beauty Blender, any brush seems to leave traces in his eyes when spreads concealer. And besides, it spends more time. And as you know, I use one of those pink sponges to apply my foundation and my concealer: I find it super fast, convenient and rendering is an incomparable natural. So I do not really find it to use: it is a little too compact for powder, same observation when I tried to use it for the implementation of the highlighter.
Then comes the F15, the Duo Fibre Powder / Blush:
Brush 4
A good little duofibres can still prove to be very useful to fade pigmented blushes and apply them naturally. Thus I use the most. It is softer than my duo Real fiber techniques that I find less "flexible" and I have never tested duofibre Zoeva so I do not really have a point of comparison so I think the $ 27 duofibre, it remains a bit expensive but that the bristles do not absorb material makes it convenient for use on the cheeks.
Then comes the E54, the Medium Sweeper:
brush 9
It is a flat brush, rather provided that allows both to deposit color on the eyelid but also mixing colors to each other. It is nice but nothing "extraordinary", he behaves like most of my other flat brushes.
Then the E35, the Tapered Blending:
5 Brush
The Blending brush is really nice on the eyelid because it is very soft and well supplied. It helps to fade the makeup perfectly in the palm or above the latter and it proves to be very useful. It fades pigments slightly faster than the 227 Zoeva.
The E32: Right Blend:
brush sigma 2
A small brush to apply the perfect size for an internal corner light or button to add eye shadow accurately. I can not find anything to complain about but I already possessed brushes of this size it.
the E45: Small Tapered Blending
brush sigma 1
This brush is handy when you're defining the crease of the eyelid but also file more accurately shadows in the outer corner. The slightly pointed shape makes it more accurate than some estompeurs provided.
and finally the E06: Winged Liner
Brush 8
I was not at all convinced by this brush: it is much, much too late to draw a eyeliner. As you already have noticed, I carry a line of black eyeliner every day and I love that it is smooth. This type of brush is no point for me absolutely worthless because I find it deposits the product too precisely and then finds on her eyelids "islands" of eyeliner at the ras-de-lashes. I say no !
So in conclusion?
These brushes are for me a better quality than the MAC brushes then it all depends on what brand you compare. If you compare the price of Sigma brushes to those at MAC, you will find the price / quality ratio probably much more interesting. But today I think new players (and Zoeva Real Techniques particular) offer quality brushes for an even lower price. While Sigma has failed to dethrone Zoeva in my heart and if I had to buy brushes, I would direct me most to this German brand by opting for a kit. However, I complèterais perhaps with some reference from Sigma. The Kabuki range is top notch and presented today in the kit I discovered the F25 and E35 which I find excellent.
