Two weeks ago, I met Christophe Danchaud, a makeup artist you'll probably hear a lot in the coming weeks. Christophe began his career as a dancer and then became choreographer but working for several years in the field of makeup. Today it is a makeup artist in high demand stars (Monica Belluci, Keira Knightley, Marion Cotillard, etc.) that is independent (it does not work for a particular brand) and also works on many shows. Today, I find you to tell you about this exchange and especially of a range of lipsticks that came out with the Absolution brand because I think it is worth a look!
These lipsticks are ultimately born of a meeting between Christophe and Isabelle Caron, the creator of BIO Absolution brand. While the brand offered only care, both creative thinking about a collaboration to offer different lipsticks. Different in composition because Christophe wanted the most natural possible, but he did not want to draw a line quality and particularly their pigmentation and over. After over a year of laboratory tests and a crowdfunding campaign on KissKissBankBank in December 2014, a range of 6 lipsticks was born. Christophe presented them to me as well: 3 red, 3 roses with stars in their eyes bonus.
I understand, create his own make-up, it must not only be an adventure out-of-common but today we must admit that it is a real challenge because the competition is tough.
So what are these red Christophe Danchaud x Absolution lips so special?

Indeed, many lipsticks contain unsavory ingredients (of Lead, Cadmium, Chromium, Aluminium, Pesticides) and an average woman would ingest 87mg per day of heavy metals. The problem is that according to Christophe (and this is the view of a professional makeup artist, remember) red or natural lip BIO do not always fulfill their promises: the textures may be too transparent or too thick otherwise The proposal limited colors, etc. Hence his desire to embark on the creation of lipsticks in semi-matte finish (which gives them a silky texture but a good behavior) perfectly covering. So in these lipsticks, there are no parabens, no heavy metals or "suspect" ingredients for health. At the heart of their formula are organic and natural ingredients (vegetable oils and waxes, extracts of Centella asiatica to impart regenerating and repairing properties).
I propose today to discover the red kit containing 3 No. 01, No. 08 and No. 16.

Christophe warned me: the first application, the grape can seem dry because it is covered with a wax layer that protects the pigments. It is after having warmed the material that we discover the real texture the red.
I must admit that I was rather blown away: their formula is natural and yet they fully compete with conventional texture red semi-matte lips, big brands. As you can see, pigmentation is incredible as well covering and indeed, I think they are forgotten once applied. They do not tug at her lips. However, the application is quite intriguing because indeed, the grape is pretty dry matter should be warmed on the lips to deposit a maximum of pigments. Ideally, it is necessary to apply them to healthy lips without small unsightly skin. However, their rich vegetable oils castor, sunflower, wax, carnauba (a palm from the Northeast of Brazil) and beeswax you will still wear them in winter as they do not dry out lips unlike some red semi-matt or matt lips.
I think I can say it is small feat for red natural lip! They are a little expensive (28 €) but no more than lipsticks major brands sold in perfume while here, the wording is more careful and especially more clean!
Christophe has many projects in mind: he would then offer a collection of colorful balms for those who prefer this type of textures but also mascara. And even if we must be patient, I can not wait to see what we will offer next year!
